1. Who We Are

This Cookie Policy is issued by Huwar ai Company Technical, a limited liability company incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Commercial Registration No. 7052865636, with its registered office in Riyadh (“Huwar”, “we”, “us”).

Huwar operates an Arabic-first digital platform for preparing for the General Aptitude Test (Qudurat) and the Achievement Test (Tahsili). This Cookie Policy applies to the Huwar platform as a whole, which comprises two websites: the website and practice application at (huwar.ai), used by Users preparing for the tests, and the reviewer and contributor portal at (teach.huwar.ai). The two sites set different cookies, so each is listed separately in Section 4 and Section 5 below. Together they are the “Platform”.

This Cookie Policy explains how the Platform uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device, keep you signed in during an active session, and remember preferences such as your chosen language. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage and session storage, perform comparable functions: they allow the Platform to keep you signed in and to store limited information on your device. In this Policy, “cookies” refers to cookies and these similar technologies together.

3. The Categories We Use

On both of our sites we use cookies and similar technologies in two categories:

Essential and functional. These are required for the site to operate, to keep you signed in, and to remember basic preferences such as your language. They are always active because the site cannot work properly without them, and they do not require your consent.

Analytics and performance. These help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so that we can measure and improve it. They are not essential, and we set them only after you have given your consent (see Section 6).

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to serve third-party advertisements or to track you across unrelated websites.

4. Cookies on (huwar.ai): the practice site for test preparation

4.1 Essential and functional

huwar_lang: Remembers your Arabic or English language choice. (Cookie; 12 months)

sidebar_state: Remembers whether the navigation menu is expanded or collapsed. (Cookie; 7 days)

huwar_cookie_consent: Records your accept or decline choice for non-essential cookies. (Cookie; 12 months)

huwar_legal_ack: Records that you have seen the notice that our Terms and Privacy Notice were updated, so it is not shown again. (Cookie; 12 months)

huwar_auth_token: Keeps you signed in by storing your sign-in token after you log in; removed when you sign out. (Local storage)

huwar_user_data, huwar_logged_in: Cache your basic account details and sign-in status so the site loads correctly; removed when you sign out. (Local storage)

huwar_signup_plan_interest: Remembers a plan you viewed so it can be pre-selected if you register. (Local storage)

huwar_click_id: If you arrive from a Google ad, stores that ad's click identifier (first-party) so that, if you later subscribe, we can measure which ad led to your subscription. It is not used to serve advertisements to you or to track you across other websites. (Local storage)

huwar_trial_expired_toast: Ensures a one-time on-screen notice is shown only once per session. (Session storage)

4.2 Analytics and performance (set only with your consent)

_ga, _ga_<id>, _gid and related: Set by Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-WMZPJW33). They measure visits, pages viewed and features used, in aggregate, to improve the site. Provided by Google as our processor; data may be processed outside the Kingdom under the safeguards in our Privacy Notice. (Cookie; up to 24 months)

5. Cookies on (teach.huwar.ai): the reviewer and contributor portal

5.1 Essential and functional

huwar_teach_lang: Remembers your Arabic or English language choice. (Cookie; 12 months)

huwar_cookie_consent: Records your accept or decline choice for non-essential cookies. (Cookie; 12 months)

huwar_teach_token: Keeps you signed in by storing your sign-in token after you log in; removed when you sign out. (Local storage)

huwar_teach_user: Caches your basic account details so the portal loads correctly; removed when you sign out. (Local storage)

5.2 Analytics and performance (set only with your consent)

_ga, _ga_<id> and related: Set by Google Analytics (measurement ID G-43953VNP9T). They measure visits, pages viewed and features used, in aggregate, to improve the portal. Provided by Google as our processor; data may be processed outside the Kingdom under the safeguards in our Privacy Notice. (Cookie; up to 24 months)

Huwar authenticates each request to either site using the sign-in token described above; it does not set a server-side session cookie.

6. Your Choices and Consent

Because analytics and performance cookies are not essential, we ask for your consent before we set them. The first time you use either site you are shown a cookie notice that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings available on that site. Your choice on one site is recorded for that site. Until you accept, only essential and functional cookies and similar technologies are used.

Essential and functional technologies do not require consent and are always active, because the site cannot function without them.

You can also view, manage and delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the tools Google provides. Because the essential technologies are required, disabling them may prevent parts of the Platform from working, including signing in and saving your preferences.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to applicable regulatory requirements. The current version and its effective date are shown at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will communicate them through the Platform.
